My creative path reflects the melting pot of influences from my childhood. I was born in San Francisco, CA, the first born son of immigrants from El Salvador and Germany. The cultural influences of San Francisco and my Euro-Latin roots helped establish the cornerstone of my diverse interests. Music, physics, fashion and archeology are among my many inspirations.

I usually work on multiple series simultaneously, allowing them to interact with one another over time. This layered approach encourages material and image to shift from piece to piece and present multiple outcomes and relationships. By integrating paint, collage, sculpture and printmaking I am encouraging the viewer to make their own connections both visually and conceptually. The resulting interaction is designed to groom diversity and create a new, unexpected whole.
